In a significant show of support for the Nigerian U-17 women’s football team, the Flamingoes, Hon. Kunle Soname, founder of Remo Stars Football Club, had pledged a generous sum of N2.5 million as they gear up for their crucial World Cup qualifier against South Africa.

The match is set to take place at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria, marking the first leg of their second-round qualification for this year’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

What they’ve done is what my senior team could not do, and I believe with this performance, they’ll do well in South Africa,” said Soname. In recognition of their efforts, he announced an immediate reward of N500,000 for their performance in the friendly match.
