The match, held at the state-of-the-art Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, showcased the Super Falcons’ dominance from the outset. The standout performances came from star striker Asisat Oshoala, who found the back of the net early in the match, followed by Rinsola Babajide and substitute Chiwendu Ihezuo, who rounded off the scoring late in the second half.

The victory marks the first time Nigeria has triumphed over Tunisia in their second encounter at the WAFCON, having previously drawn against them in 2008.

Oshoala, opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, expertly converting a well-placed cross from the right flank. Her endeavours not only set the tone for the encounter but also served to uplift the spirits of her teammates and the travelling Nigerian supporters.

Babajide doubled the lead shortly after halftime with a stunning strike from outside the box, leaving the Tunisian goalkeeper with little chance to respond. As the Super Falcons maintained their relentless pressure, Ihezuo added a third goal in the 78th minute, showcasing her skills and solidifying Nigeria’s dominance in the match.
