Wanban Shinkafi Drags INEC, APC To Court Over Zamfara North Senatorial Primaries

The Zamfara North Senatorial aspirant Dr Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi has drag INEC, APC to Federal High Court Gusau Over the failure of the APC to follow the stipulated guidelines in the electoral act and the constitution of APC during the just concluded APC senatorial primaries.

This was disclosed to newsmen by Barrister Garba Galadi shortly after filing the case at the Federal High Court Gusau on behalf of his client yesterday

The plaintiff to the complainant Barrister Garba Galadi said, his client decided to file a case at the Federal High Court Gusau Over the non compliant with electoral act,rules and regulations governing the primaries.

Barrister Garba Galadi stated that the rules stipulated that there should be either direct primary or consesors to which none of this has happened.

Barrister Garba Galadi further said the declaration of Senator Sahabi Yau Kaura as the winner of the said primary is illegal devoid of any laid down procedure or rules and regulations.

He said, the court should ensure that justice is done to his client as they will provide all the necessary evidence to prove that guiding principles and procedure were not followed during the exercise

Also speaking the complainant Dr Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi the senatorial aspirant zamfara north said, he has explored all the laid down procedure by the APC to entertain his case but prove abortive.

He said, he decided to go to court to seek for justice as all channels to forward his case to machineries set up by the party failed
