A large number of civil servants in Sokoto State shunned the the two-day warning strike declared by leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC).

Our correspondent who monitored the level of compliance in the state gathered that almost all the banks within the metropolis opened their doors for business.

It was a beehive of activities at the Federal Secretariat in the state, when our correspondent visited. Workers were seen at their desk, attending to their chores without any disturbance.

Also at the state dual secretariat at Usmanu Farouk Secretariat and Gingiya Five Start, workers were seen attending to their assignment as well.

Meanwhile, efforts to get the reaction of the chairman of NLC in the state, Abdullahi Aliyu Jungle, was not successful as he did not respond to his calls as at the time of filling this report.
