Katsina State government said it is open to constructive criticisms from any opposition political party in the state.
The special adviser to the governor on political matters, Umar Ya’u Gwajo- Gwajo asserted this while addressing some journalists in his office in Katsina to mark his first-day in office since his appointment.
He thanked God for the opportunity to serve in the present administration under Governor Umar Dikko Radda, assuring that he would run an open-door policy and receive advice to improve the well-being of the people.
He said, “We are inviting criticism from the opposition because they are meant to strengthen the government to improve its weaknesses if there are any, come and device this government to succeed. We want them to join hands with us to succeed in the interest of the state.”
Gwajo-Gawajo also pleaded with journalists to partner with the present administration, by way of balancing their story before going to the press to sustain the harmonious and peaceful coexistence in the state.
“No government would succeed without the full support of the media, we always rely on news broadcasting and that’s why we are seeking your support and cooperation.”
“The governor will soon unveil his programmes that have direct impact on the lives of the people, there are arrangements to better the life of the people, and to cushion the suffering in the country.
“Government has a plan in terms of agriculture, health, education, water and other areas to make the state a better place for economic viability,” he said.
