The Rivers State government has declared that it was yet to receive the resolutions passed by the Rivers State House of Assembly on the presentation of the 2025 Budget.
Recall that the Rt. Hon. Martins Amaewhule-led State legislature had during its sitting on Monday, gave Governor Siminalayi Fubara a 48-hour ultimatum to present the 2025 budget of the State before it.
But, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Tammy Danagogo, in a letter addressed to the Speaker and dated March 5, 2025, said as at the close of work on Tuesday, no official communication had been received by the Governor’s office, the Deputy Governor’s office, or the Accountant-General’s office from the State Assembly.
