Speaking at the reception where he was honoured few days ago in Lagos, Ambassador Jonathan Ojadah who is also the IRDCUN Permanent Representative to the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA, said that, it is indeed a great honour to be chosen for such a highly responsible position, as a Grand Patron of a football club association in Nigeria.

He pointed out that, though he is already a Patron of highly placed global institutions, he will gladly accept this honour because, “it is an honour that comes from my home land, Nigeria. I am humbled to be chosen for this honour, despite my youthful age, but I guess sports comes with youthful age too.”

Ambassador Marshall Jonathan Ojadah went ahead and asserted his commitment to the development of football and sports in Nigeria.

“Being the Grand Patron of this body is a role that I am ready to play. And I want to assure you all that I will, to the best of my power, support the association and the players to excel and bring out the best in everyone,” he said.
