The coordinating minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves to be re-elected for a second term based on the achievements recorded under his administration, including the employment of over 3,000 youths in Bauchi State.

Pate commended the Tinubu administration for creating employment opportunities for young Nigerians, saying that over 3,000 youths in Bauchi State had secured jobs through federal government’s initiatives within the last three years.

He also praised the administration’s healthcare interventions, particularly the introduction of free emergency cesarean section services for women, describing the initiative as unprecedented.

According to him, several infrastructural projects executed by the federal government under President Tinubu are visible across Bauchi State, adding that residents can easily identify projects facilitated by the APC-led administration.

Pate stated this during a weekend interview with journalists after the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Serving as the coordinator and collation officer for the APC Presidential Primary in Bauchi State, Pate said Tinubu and businessman Sterlyn Osifo contested for the party’s presidential ticket.

He explained that the direct primary election was conducted peacefully across the 20 local government areas of the state, with active participation from party members at ward, local government, and state levels.

He said collation officers from all the local government areas submitted their results before the final collation at the state level.

Prof. Pate disclosed that a total of 178,414 APC members were eligible to participate in the exercise, while 159,191 votes were cast.

He said Tinubu emerged victorious with 156,541 votes, while Sterlyn Osifo polled 2,650 votes.
