Wife Arrested For Allegedly Killing Husband In Yobe

The Fika Divisional Police Headquarters of Yobe State Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old Hadiza Mamuda of Garin Abba Village in Fika local government area for allegedly killing her husband.

Police said the incident followed a heated argument between the couple over food items.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Yobe Command, SP Dungus Abdulkarim disclosed this in Damaturu, Yobe State, saying the suspect used a log of wood to fatally assault the victim.

According to the PPRO, investigation was underway, and the suspect will be arraigned in court subsequently.

He noted that the victim, a polygamous husband with two wives and five children, including the suspect, leaves behind a grieving family.

Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Emmanuel Ado, emphasised the need for marital community intervention initiatives to address domestic violence and abuse.
