Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has promised attractive incentives for individuals and organisations, both local and international, who capitalise on the abundant tourism opportunities in Abuja.

Wike, who spoke during the commissioning of a private recreational centre in Abuja, highlighted the untapped potential of tourist attractions such as the Yaba Fishing Festival, Ushafa Pottery Centre, Millennium Towers, and other recreational centres in the federal capital territory.

The minister, who expressed dismay over the underutilisation of the Nigerian tourism sector, stressed its capacity to attract significant foreign exchange investments.

He commended the administration of President Bola Tinubu for prioritising tourism and urged the private sector to explore its potential.

Wike reiterated the FCT administration’s commitment to supporting investment initiatives in Abuja, promising generous incentives for those investing in the tourism sector.

The minister described the commissioning of the largest recreational center as a testament to the vibrancy of Abuja’s tourism sector.

He further emphasised the importance of patronising businesses in Abuja, warning against compromising standards, urging all business owners to uphold quality.

Meanwhile, the chairperson of Nadeem Group, Nadia Nadeem, while speaking on the vision for the water park,  said that her father, Engr. Said Khalaf, a renowned engineer was known for his innovative constructions and urban planning works in Nigeria.
