Super Eagles captain, Wilfred Ndidi, has rejoined training sessions with his Turkish Super Lig club, Besiktas, after travelling to Nigeria to attend his father’s funeral. Mr. Ndidi senior, a former soldier, tragically passed away in a car accident in the Umunede area of Delta State last month. He was laid to rest on Friday in Agbor, Delta State.
Ndidi is now available for Besiktas’s upcoming home fixture against Goztepe on Sunday, having missed last weekend’s thrilling 3-2 away victory over Istanbul BaÅŸakÅŸehir. The 29-year-old midfielder has made 16 league appearances for the Black and Whites this season, netting one goal. Besiktas currently sit fifth in the Super Lig table with 40 points from 22 matches, just one point behind fourth-placed Goztepe, who have 41 points.
