Winners Emerge In Rivers Education Quiz Competition

Four secondary schools in Rivers State have won N19 million in the first edition of the Education Champions League quiz competition.

The Federal Government Girls’ College, Abuloma, Port Harcourt and Seacrest Preparatory School, Port Harcourt, which clinched the first and second positions respectively, got N10 million and N5 million each, while Aladumo International School and Enitonia High School, Port Harcourt, which won the third and fourth positions, went home with N2.5 million and N1.5 million each.

A total of 16 public and private secondary schools in the state participated in the competition which began on September 21, 2024.

Speaking yesterday during the finals of the quiz competition in Port Harcourt, chief sponsor of the competition, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, lauded ECL for organising the competition.

Lulu-Briggs called on individuals and government to understand the need to begin to educate the next generation of Nigerians, pointing out that government has no greater responsibility than to educate the next generation.
