A mother of four, Hajara Tijjani, has prayed a Shari’a Court in Magajin Gari, Kaduna, to grant her an order allowing her four children to visit her during holidays.
Tijjani told the court that since her divorce from Muhammad Jami’u, in August 2025, she has not seen or heard from her the children.
“Since my husband removed my girls from the school they attended, I have not seen them. I also approached some elders in my former husband’s family to intervene in the matter.
“I want the court to order the defendant to allow my children to visit me during holidays,” she said.
On his part, the defence counsel, Usman Ndaliman, said his client did not deny his former wife access to their children.
“Since they divorced in August 2025, she never made attempts to visit the children. My client got a new job in Kogi State and had to relocate with the children,” he said.
He said his client had given his former wife permission to visit the children.
The judge, Malam Mu’awiyah Shehu, adjourned the case until 10th September for ruling. (NAN)
