The African Continental Governor of the World Sustainable Development Goals Organisation, Alhaji Yahya Muhammad Guregi, has celebrated former President Goodluck Jonathan on the occasion of his birthday.
In a statement personally signed by him at the organisation’s African Head Office in Kigali, Rwanda yesterday,Guregi described Jonathan as a distinguished statesman and a symbol of democracy across the continent.
He said the former President had remained steadfast in promoting peace, good governance and sustainable development — values central to the mission of the WSDGO.
Guregi said, “On behalf of the World Sustainable Development Goals Organisation and the entire African leadership structure, I extend our sincerest prayers and best wishes to Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on this special day of his birth.
“His contributions to democracy, peace and development continue to inspire leaders across Africa and beyond. We pray for God’s continued guidance, protection and blessings upon his life and all his future endeavours.”
He reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to partnering with visionary African leaders, both past and present, to advance the Sustainable Development Goals and build a peaceful, inclusive and prosperous continent.
