Political leaders, traditional rulers, women, youths and other stakeholders from Yagba Federal Constituency on Sunday endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the senator representing Kogi West, Sunday Steve Karimi, for another term in office, citing the lawmaker’s performance and the need for continuity in governance.

The endorsement was made during the Yagba Federal Constituency Town Hall Meeting held at GYB Hall, Isanlu, with the theme, “Continuity for Sustainable Development in Kogi West Senatorial District.”

The meeting attracted a large gathering of party leaders, local government chairmen, serving and former lawmakers, traditional rulers, youth and women groups, as well as persons with disabilities, who reviewed Senator Karimi’s stewardship and discussed development priorities for the constituency.

Addressing participants, Senator Karimi thanked constituents for their continued support and reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation, promising to sustain interventions in infrastructure, education, youth empowerment and community development.

He said continuity in leadership would ensure the completion of ongoing projects and attract more federal presence to Kogi West.

“Continuity in leadership will guarantee the completion of ongoing projects and attract more federal presence to Kogi West,” he said, urging constituents to remain united and continue supporting the administration of President Tinubu.

According to the senator, the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda is laying the foundation for sustainable national development and requires the support of Nigerians to achieve its objectives.

Before the town hall meeting, Karimi paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Yagba East Traditional Council, Oba Moses Babatunde Etombi, where he pledged continued support for the traditional institution, describing traditional rulers as critical partners in promoting peace, security and community development.

The monarch commended the senator’s representation, encouraged him to sustain his efforts and offered prayers for greater success in his political career.

During the interactive session, participants commended President Tinubu’s administration and applauded Senator Karimi for facilitating various constituency projects and empowerment programmes across Kogi West.

Several speakers described the senator as accessible and responsive, noting that his interventions had positively impacted communities across the constituency.

Stakeholders also called for greater unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC), stressing that internal cohesion would strengthen the party ahead of future elections.

The meeting ended with a vote of confidence in President Tinubu and Senator Karimi, as participants pledged their continued support for both leaders, saying continuity would accelerate development in Kogi West and the country.
