The APC Media Advocacy Network (AMAN) has said that the relationship between President Bola Ahmed and former Kogi State governor remains intact and unshakeable.

Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, yesterday, it urged the public to disregard misleading videos, messages, and publications on social media, which were being presented as coming from supporters of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo or former Governor Yahaya Bello.

According to AMAN, the materials were capable of causing misunderstanding between key political actors, adding that the videos were being used to create the impression of division within the party.

The group spokesman, Wisdom Ohalete, said it had credible intelligence that links the attacks to a group of APC members who had vowed to destabilise the peace and unity the party enjoys in the state.

The group explicitly puts the presidency on alert to be aware that some persons are perpetuating media onslaught that seeks to create disharmony between the Presidency, Kogi state government and former Governor Yahaya Bello

AMAN also noted concerns that some content creators were being sponsored to produce inflammatory materials that could cause tension. The group urged security agencies to identify individuals behind the distributed messages and to ensure that peace and stability within the state and the party were protected.

It confirmed that one of the creators linked to the videos had been arrested and was cooperating with the investigation. AMAN appealed to all stakeholders to refrain from actions that could heighten tension and to support ongoing efforts to strengthen unity within the party.

The group reiterated the importance of maintaining the good relationship between the Presidency and the Kogi State Government and urged the public to verify information before sharing online.
