Yahaya Hails Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has described the Renewed Hope Initiative of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the strategic framework through which governments led by the All Progressives Congress (APC) are translating policies into tangible benefits for Nigerians.

The governor stated this on Saturday at the Government House, Gombe, when he received the North-East zonal coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative and former Bauchi State governor, Isa Yuguda.

In a statement by his media aide, Isma’ila Uba Misilli, Governor Yahaya said the Tinubu-led APC administration is united by a clear resolve to improve the lives and livelihoods of Nigerians, stressing that the vision of his administration aligns seamlessly with the president’s mission and the core principles of the party.

“As Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, the majority of us are APC governors, just as the Federal Government is APC. We all emerged under the Renewed Hope mantra, which truly encapsulates the ideals and principles upon which our party is built,” he said.

According to the governor, the Renewed Hope Initiative serves as the operational platform through which the APC delivers dividends of democracy, noting that the establishment of various committees has further strengthened party cohesion and continuity in governance across all levels.

Commenting on the evolving political landscape, Yahaya expressed optimism about growing public confidence in the APC nationwide, adding that performance and development should remain the ultimate benchmarks of governance.

“If Nigeria eventually becomes a one-party nation as a result of progress and performance, so be it, provided it delivers development and improved welfare for the Nigerian people,” he stated.

He urged party members and stakeholders to remain focused, confront challenges decisively and ensure that the Renewed Hope Initiative reaches grassroots communities across the country, assuring the delegation that Gombe State would continue to serve as a stronghold of the APC.

Earlier, Malam Isa Yuguda praised Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s leadership, describing him as a symbol of stability, justice and equity in the North-East.

He noted that peace and security remain the foremost responsibility of leadership, adding that Gombe State has remained remarkably peaceful under the governor’s watch.

Yuguda also outlined the objectives of the Renewed Hope Initiative, describing it as a comprehensive programme aimed at fulfilling President Tinubu’s promise to uplift ordinary Nigerians through empowerment, skills acquisition and grassroots economic stimulation rather than short-term handouts.

He explained that the initiative targets empowering up to 1,000 people per ward nationwide, noting that even partial success would significantly boost economic activity, purchasing power and overall quality of life.
