Celebrated and award winning film maker, Yemi Amodu, is set to showcase his new movie project titled Erebe.
Erebe movie borders on the crimes and dangers of illegal mining. Shot last year April, the crime thriller is one that will resonate with movie buffs as it speaks to the challenges of the day, the society and dangers of not implementing laws made for the society
EREBE will hit the Cinemas Friday, April 5, 2024.According to Yemi Amodu, a cerebral filmmaker and producer credited to have shot the stellar cast movie and Bank of Industry BOI-sponsored project, ‘Shadow Parties’.
“ My movie Erebe is a movie that is throught provoking and talks about exploitation having shot it last year April. Movie makers can be likened to seers and this is why government has to use filmmaking to sell their policies and promote their agenda,” says Amodu .
The movie which was shot in Yoruba and English languages and subtitled in English, has great cast like Yinka Salau, Akinola Akano, veteran actors: Jibola Dabo Jude Chukwuka and Adewale Elesho, Abeni Agbon, Mariam Mustapja, Abolarinwa Amodu and others
The synopsis : Love emerges as the antidote to life’s trials and tribulations in “Erebe,” a gripping tale of destiny and sacrifice. Adesewa, a young woman from humble beginnings, finds herself entangled in a tumultuous love affair with Ademola, a talented graduate striving for success. However, when Ademola ventures into the perilous world of illegal mining in search of wealth, their lives are plunged into chaos.
As danger looms and fate tightens its grip, Adesewa must navigate a treacherous path fraught with uncertainty and peril. Will love be enough to save her and Ademola from the clutches of darkness, or will their dreams be shattered by the harsh realities of life?
