Yobe State Governor  Mai Mala Buni  has pledged continued partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP) to improve the living condition of people of the state.

He made the pledge when he received the new country director of the programme, Mr David Stevenson and other officers who visited him at the Government House, Damaturu.

Governor Buni while thanking WFP and other partners for their roles during and after the decade-long conflict to stabilise and build resilience among vulnerable population, assured the team of continuous working relationship in serving persons of concerns.

The executive eecretary, Yobe State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Mohammed Goje, said the visit was aimed at discussing areas of collaboration and thanked the state government for providing the enabling environment for partners to operate.
