Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, presented tuition fees and laptops to Yobe State law graduates who gained admission into Nigerian law schools.

Governor Buni said 127 graduates applied for sponsorship, and each was awarded an N475,000 tuition fee with a laptop computer to facilitate their studies.

“I am glad that our government has consistently sponsored students to pursue education at home and abroad, with over 38,000 benefitting from the state scholarship scheme under this administration.

According to him, this event marks the fourth consecutive time this administration has granted scholarships to law graduates to attend Nigerian law schools.

He said 140 of the 189 graduates who studied medical and allied courses in Indian universities have been employed, while the remaining 49 graduates will soon be absorbed.

He reassured that the government would continue to prioritise education and support every state citizen in pursuing it at all levels.

“Similarly, this administration would continue to support the pursuance of professional certificates at the Nigeria Law School to qualify our law graduates to practice as lawyers, accountants to obtain professional certificates at ANAN or ICAN, and for administrators at ASCON”, he said.

Buni charged the students with being mindful of the laws governing the institution. They should abide by the institution’s rules and regulations and avoid issues detrimental to their studies.
He added, “You should remain good ambassadors of the state to make us proud,” the Governor said.
