The state governor Hon Mai Mala Buni stated this while presenting the 2024 budget proposal to the state house of assembly in Damaturu.

Buni said the award of the project was part of measures to further enhance the economic wellbeing of the people in addition to averting farmer/herder crisis across the state.

He said the government will also work towards ensuring the completion of the Nasari Livestock Development Center which has reached an advanced stage of completion adding that this among others inform the decision of earmarking the sum of over N828 million for the projects in the 2024 budget.

The governor equally assured that his administration will procure more fertilizer among other agricultural inputs to support farmers for improved crop production.
