The Yoruba Youth Socio-cultural Association (YYSA) has threatened to embark on a peaceful protest over non-inclusion of youths into the board of Southwest Development Commission by President Bola Tinubu.

The association’s President, Olalekan Hammed and national secretary, Olawale Ajao in a statement on Saturday in Ibadan condemned the act and described it as unfair.

The youth-group said, “In a normal circumstance, leading civil society organisations representing youths from the region should have at least one representative.

“In the Nigerian constitution, there is adequate provision for representatives of the civil society organisations whenever appointment is being made into ministries, departments and agencies of government.

“Unfortunately, His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu has taken a contrary step in the newly constituted board of Southwest Development Commission which is very unjust.
