‘Your Work Has Illuminated The Path To Gender Equity’, Women Affairs Minister Hails Awosika

Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has felicitated with billionaire entrepreneur and former chairman of First Bank, Mrs Ibukun Awosika, on her birthdate anniversary, saying that her work has illuminated the path to gender equity, creating opportunities for women and girls to rise, thrive, and claim their rightful place in shaping the future.

In a statement by the Minister’s media team, she described the celebrant as an icon, a trailblazer, and a beacon of hope, who has impacted millions of women and girls, whose lives she has touched with her extraordinary contributions to the advancement of Nigeria.

Sulaiman-Ibrahim expressed admiration and prayed for longevity for the technocrat whom she also referred to as a masterpiece of courage, purpose and service woven with threads of vision and unwavering determination.

The statement read in parts: “On behalf of the Ministry of Women Affairs and the millions of women and girls whose lives you have touched, I salute your extraordinary contributions to the advancement of our great Country. Your life is a masterpiece of courage, purpose, and service, woven with threads of vision and unwavering determination.

“As our Co-chair of the Presidential High-Level Advisory Council on Women and Girls in Nigeria, representing the private sector, your voice has been nothing short of encouragement.
