Zamfara APC Crisis Deepens As Jaji’s Faction Reaffirms Suspension Of Party Chairman

As the All Progressives Congress (APC) crisis in Zamfara state persists, the faction of Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji APC movement reaffirmed that Tukur Umar Danfulani remained suspended from the party as state Chairman.

The factional party Secretary, Mansur Aminu Khalifa, led by a member of the House of Representatives, Hon Aminu Sani Jaji, disclosed this in a statement while reacting to a communique issued by the state Chapter of the party after its recent SWC meeting.

Khalifa said the recent communique issued by Yusuf Idris Gusau, a former Publicity Secretary of the Zamfara APC, is laughable. His narrative speaks volumes about the life of a wounded lion on the verge of ending in misery.

For the record, “we do not recognise the leadership of Tukur Danfulani and his entire structure. The APC supporters in Zamfara have shown them the appropriate political path by suspending their membership. By implication, a party member whose membership is withdrawn is logically out of the circle.

According to him, Tukur Danfulani is not the party chairman by law, as he was long been suspended, stressing that “whatever he does, along with his suspended executives, is null and void in the eyes of the law. His commendation of his paymasters is merely an extension of his loyalty for monetary gain”.

He further explained that the claim that Minister Matawalle donated N500M to Zamfara APC supporters is deceitful, adding that the former Welfare Secretary of the APC under Tukur Danfulani, Bashir Ataka, has exposed this false narrative.

“It is a “Political Gimmick” to believe that a Minister who cannot hand over a cash donation of N50M from President Bola Ahmad Tinubu can claim to have donated N500M to party supporters.

“Concerned APC members in Zamfara State have challenged Matawalle’s faction to provide data on how the money was shared and who the beneficiaries were. Their failure to do so is enough to debunk their lies.

Khalifa stated that President Bola Ahmad Tinubu recently donated N50 million to victims of armed banditry and fire incidents in Zamfara. However, this amount has not been handed over to the victims, and it is believed to be either with the Minister for personal enrichment or stuck between his discontented political aides.

“Regarding the Jajiya political movement in Zamfara State, we have made it clear that out of the 12,000 bags of rice allocated to Zamfara APC supporters by President Bola Ahmad Tinubu, only 7,000 bags were presented to the APC supporters in the state.

According to him, a very insignificant number of people received some portion of the rice, while the rest was diverted by Minister Matawalle and his associates for personal enrichment.

The factional party Secretary pointed out that Aminu Sani Jaji’s contributions to APC supporters in Zamfara are evident and verifiable. Stressed, “We don’t need recognition from a disbanded political structure led by stooges like Tukur Danfulani.

“Jaji has touched the lives of millions of Zamfara APC supporters, and we don’t need to be recognised by a disbanded political structure. Jaji shared moments of joy and happiness with the supporters at the beginning of the Ramadan fast, a sacrifice Minister Matawalle failed to make.

“It is sad to mention that since Matawalle’s defeat in the 2023 elections, he has only visited Zamfara twice. His second visit sent a clear message that Zamfara is no longer for the unserious-minded people like him, as people stoned his convoy and chanted “bye-bye forever.”

“This shows his disconnection with his people, and instead of learning from his mistakes, he continues to associate with the same political receptionists who almost sent him to jail during the 2023 elections.

“No doubt, Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji is one of the founding fathers of APC in Zamfara State, right from the 2011 general elections to date. He clinched Zamfara State for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 general elections while serving as the Director of Contact and Mobilization of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

“We call on President Tinubu and the APC NWC to be vigilant and watch Minister Matawalle as he heads towards crashing with the party again in 2027. Zamfara people are done with him and are ready to humiliate him once more in future elections.

“As for Tukur Danfulani and his co-travellers who are parading themselves as APC leaders in Zamfara State, it is time they accept reality and surrender to the supreme will of the people. The people recognise the faction of Isiyaka Ajiya Anka-led State Working Committee of the APC, and they will continue to maintain the same until another valid congress is conducted,” Khalifa stated.
