“All is set for Nigeria to host the 2025 CAVB U18 Beach Volleyball Championship in Abuja. We have established the necessary arrangements to ensure that the tournament runs smoothly,” Nimrod stated.

Highlighting Nigeria’s experience in hosting major volleyball events, Nimrod noted, “Nigeria has previously hosted Olympic qualifiers twice and a senior championship, but this will be the first occasion the country hosts the U18 tournament.”

He commended the Federal Government through the National Sports Commission for its support, saying, “I want to applaud the Federal Government of Nigeria for creating an enabling environment for sports to thrive. This opportunity will provide young players with a platform to showcase their talents.”

Looking ahead, Nimrod expressed confidence in Nigeria’s capacity to host global tournaments, “We believe Nigeria is capable of hosting a Pro-Tour sanctioned by the FIVB in the future.”

He reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment as a reliable and welcoming nation to host the African nations.
