Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Madawaki Ward in Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State have affirmed Governor Dauda Lawal as the party’s sole governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.
The affirmation took place during the ongoing APC governorship primary election held across the country.
The exercise was observed by representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and officials from the APC National Headquarters.
The INEC and APC representatives commended party members for the peaceful conduct of the process.
Governor Lawal, in his remarks, thanked the people for their support and confidence, assuring them of more dividends of democracy.
He pledged to continue delivering development projects and strengthening governance in the state.
