Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have engaged suspected armed bandits in a fierce gun battle lasting over three hours during a high-risk clearance operation in Zamfara State with casualty figures unknown.

The clash erupted in Yankuzo area of Tsafe local government area as troops advanced on a suspected hideout linked to notorious armed groups operating in the axis. The operation, driven by aggressive fighting patrols, pushed deep into the enclave of Ado Allero, believed to be a key stronghold of bandit elements.
