To tackle insecurity and curb other criminal activities, the Zamfara State government has launched armoured personnel carriers (APCs) and surveillance drones.
At the launch of the initiative at the Government House in Gusau, the director-general, Media and Communications to the state government, Nuhu Salihu Anka, said the Dauda Lawal’s administration gave firm commitment to enhancing internal security to protect life and property through the adoption of modern technology.
He added that the launch was conducted by the minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa, alongside the governor and other stakeholders in the state.
“This launching will put surveillance as part of the government’s deliberate attempt to enhance public safety across Zamfara State,” Anka noted.
