The final schedule for the 2025 Zenith Bank/NBBF Women’s Basketball League has been slightly adjusted as the organisers announce a new date for the finals, set to take place at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Teams are expected to arrive in Lagos on Monday, September 15, with matches being held from Tuesday, September 16, to Saturday, September 20, and departures scheduled for Sunday, September 21.
In a statement signed by the league’s chairperson, Perpetual Clement, congratulations were extended to all qualified teams, alongside appreciation for the sponsors, Zenith Bank PLC.
Eight teams have made it to the finals, with four from each of the Atlantic and Savannah Conferences. Defending champions MFM will be joined by First Bank Basketball Club, Bayelsa Blue Whales Basketball Club, and Dolphins Basketball Club from the Atlantic Conference. The Savannah Conference is represented by Air Warriors Basketball Club, Royal Aces Basketball Club, Titans Basketball Club, and Nigeria Customs Basketball Club.
“The Nigeria Basketball Federation and the management of Zenith Bank Nigeria Plc wish to heartily congratulate and commend all finalists of the 2025 Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League (ZBWL),” the statement read. “Your performances during the league have not gone unnoticed and were quite impressive. Arrangements for the final leg of the 2025 ZBWL are now complete, scheduled from September 15 to 21 at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Teams are advised to reacquaint themselves with the NBBF rules governing this ZBWL to ensure a smooth event.”
