Youth restiveness around Maitumbi area of Minna, Niger State capital city, has led to the death of a yet-to-be identified passer-by while seven other persons were seriously injured on Friday.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the youths throughout Friday to early Saturday morning engaged in street fighting and attacking innocent residents of the city.

Police eventually dispersed the restive youth and made some arrests.

As at the time of this report, the cause of the youth restiveness was unknown.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the street fights and youth restiveness but said the details were just emerging.
