A ten-year-old, Amb Virtuosa Ihechiziterem Ikemezuo-Chintuo, representing Abia State, has emerged first runner-up at the “2026 Little Miss Nigeria” pageant.
Virtuosa finished behind Aisha Salau Audu, who emerged the overall winner at the keenly contested national grand finale, which featured young contestants drawn from different states.
The Abia-born contestant also won the coveted “Little Miss Nigeria” Photogenic title and received a cash prize of N300,000.
The pageant, held at the National Women Development Centre in Abuja, was organised and managed by the “Little Miss Nigeria” Project, which runs in partnership with the OJN Foundation.
According to the organisers, her recognition was based on her poise, confidence, stage presence and overall performance throughout the competition.
The grand finale featured cultural presentations, intellectual tests and creative showcases, with contestants demonstrating their talents while celebrating Nigeria’s cultural diversity.
The organisers said the “Little Miss Nigeria” initiative goes beyond conventional beauty pageantry, describing it as a developmental platform designed to nurture intellectual capacity, build self-confidence, promote national consciousness and instil positive values in young girls.
They added that the initiative seeks to empower the girl-child with leadership qualities and other skills needed to contribute positively to society.
The organisers also commended the judges, corporate partners, parents and guardians for their contributions to the success of the 2026 edition. Virtuosa’s performance has further established her as one of the young talents recognised for excellence and confidence on a national platform.
