10th Assembly Speakership: Betara Meet Lawmakers In Saudi Arabia

Ahead of the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly and the election of presiding officers in June, one of the front line candidates, Rt Hon Mukhtar Aliyu Betara has continued with consultations to woo Members-Elect.

The Borno lawmaker who is presently performing lesser haj in Saudi Arabia yesterday met with members-elect from different states of the federation in the holy land.

The front line candidate met with members from Katsina, Kaduna, Jigawa, Gombe, Bauchi and Adamawa states who visited him and discussed very important issues concerning the 10th assembly.

Betara assured the members of his resolve to run an all-inclusive house that will protect the independence of the legislature and work to enact legislation that will better the lives of Nigerians.

Both members of the ruling All Prpgressives Congress (APC) and the opposition political parties see him as the most suited to be their leader in the 10th Assembly given his national appeal and cosmopolitan disposition.
