A 16 years old boy, Ja’afar Yusuf, has been allocated free 2024 Hajj seat for his prowess in memorising the complete Qur’an and knowledge of the Holy Book’s contents.
Making the presentation on behalf of Governor Abba Yusuf, the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Laminu Danbappa, said the allocation was motivated by the teenager’s extraordinary talent in memorising the Qur’an which he noted to have “captivated hearts and minds.”
Notably, Danbappa said the boy possesses an exceptional understanding of every word and its location within the Holy Book, demonstrating an unparalleled commitment to his faith and its teachings.
Governor Yusuf, in a statement by the Information Officer of the Board, Sulaiman Dederi, commended young Yusuf for his dedication, perseverance, and mastery of the Qur’an, describing him as a shining example of the rich cultural and religious heritage of Kano State.
He emphasised the importance of nurturing and supporting young talents such as Yusuf, who represents the future leaders and ambassadors of the state.
“The allocation of the Hajj seat to Yusuf who is from Goron-Dutse in Dala local government area serves as a token of recognition and appreciation for his exceptional achievements in Qur’an recitation and his unwavering commitment to spiritual enlightenment,” the statement noted.
