The incident, according to witnesses, happened along the Idoro Road intersection connecting Uyo, the State capital with Abak.

The New Year Thanksgiving Service was slated for Qua Iboe Church (QIC), Abak Intense community in Abak local government area of the State.

“The bike operator was carrying a passenger, and along Idoro Road by Pepsi junction, they crashed headlong into the convoy as the cyclist tried to navigate his way out.

“He suddenly lost control and veered into the convoy, and the resultant crash led to the death of the motorcyclist and his passenger,” Uduak Ephraim, one of the journalists, narrated.

“There’s a fatal accident that has claimed the lives of two people in Abak, who were on a motor bike. The bike ran into our convoy.
