2023: Group Charges Nigerians To Shun Religious Sentiments, Back Tinubu’s Candidacy

Amid the same faith ticket, the City Boy Movement in conjunction with the Nigeria Coalition of Pastor Good leaders (NCPGL) has called on Nigerians to shun religious politics, adding that politics is beyond religion.

The group also said after consideration of so many critical factors and wide consultation “we have decided to settle for the candidacy of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima ticket”.

Addressing journalists in Abuja on Saturday, the President of NCPGL, Apostle Babatunde Oguntumehin, said Nigeria is a complex nation, and anyone who aspires to lead the nation must be someone with demonstrable experience, capacity, ability, and capability.

He said “The commendable stewardship of both men when they held power in their different States as Governors, is a pointer to what they can offer to the nation at a time like this.

“Nigeria also needs a president who has the uncanny ability to unite the nation, a bridge builder, a compassionate leader, a leader of men.

” Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated this beyond any reasonable doubt as evidenced in all his mentees who are in positions of power at every level of governance in Nigeria today.

“We cannot, therefore, sacrifice quality leadership on the altar of religion or tribe”, he said.

Also at the briefing, the head, of Mobilisation and Converner of City Boy Movement, Shoga Francis charged Nigerians to always view politics beyond religion.

“We appeal to all Electorate to overwhelmingly cast their votes for the man that has been tested and trusted. A man that can turn around the future of this country.

“On this note, we strongly believe the strong charisma, vision, and dexterity of ‘Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu & Sen. Kashim Shettima the flag bearers of the APC best suited to be at the helm of affairs of this country and subsequently become the president of our great country, Nigeria.

“In addition, it is worthy of note and mentioned the experience Asiwaju had garnered over the years as stood him out among the arrays of the presidential aspirants,” he said.
