Nathaniel Sets New Nigerian Record At Tokyo

Ezekiel Nathaniel has made headlines with an exceptional performance in the men’s 400metre hurdles final at the Tokyo World Athletics Championship (WAC), where he set a new Nigerian record of 47.11 seconds.

This remarkable feat not only secured him a fourth-place finish but also established him as the fourth fastest in the world.

The gold medal was claimed by American athlete Rai Benjamin, who delivered a stunning season’s best time of 46.52 seconds.

Brazilian runner Alison dos Santos followed closely, taking silver with a time of 46.84 seconds.

Qatar’s Abderrahman Samba clinched the bronze medal, finishing just ahead of Nathaniel with a time of 47.06 seconds, narrowly keeping the Nigerian off the podium.
