2027: Cross River Gov Assures Tinubu of 96% Votes

Cross River State governor, Senator Bassey Otu has pledged to ensure that the state delivers 96% votes to President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Governor Otu made the promise during an endorsement rally for Tinubu, organised by stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Calabar.

The governor who spoke on behalf of President Tinubu after his endorsement by the Cross River State people of South Senatorial District, averred that the administration has made significant strides in various sectors, laying a solid economic foundation and increasing the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

He praised the security agencies in the state for the tremendous improvement recorded in the area of security.

Otu said security agencies have disbanded over 16 militant camps, adding that the success of the state’s amnesty programme have improved security.

On tourism development, Otu averred that the upcoming December Carnival will mark a grand 20-year celebration, attracting visitors from around the world to celebrate with the state.
