Former Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, along with stakeholders of the party, endorsed President Bola Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.
Ganduje announced the endorsement after consultative meetings with APC leaders from all 44 local government areas of the State at his residence in Kano.
He explained that the engagements were designed to strengthen internal cohesion and align the party ahead of the next election.
“The purpose of these meetings is to ensure complete unity in our party, from top to bottom, and to reaffirm our solidarity with the federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Ganduje said.
The former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) also directed local government and ward party leaders to ensure that all APC offices across the state remain open, accessible, and fully functional.
He also instructed party executives and delegates to return to their constituencies and publicly declare Tinubu as the party’s presidential candidate.
Ganduje further revealed that the party’s electronic registration exercise will be intensified. To support this, he said three trained ICT personnel from each local government area will be assigned to manage the process, with the goal of significantly boosting membership registration ahead of the 2027 elections.
He also urged members to comply with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) guidelines by ensuring that all eligible citizens aged 18 and above register in line with the ongoing nationwide voter registration exercise.
Among those present at the meeting were former Kano State Governor Kabiru Gaya, House of Representatives member Alhassan Ado Doguwa, the 2023 governorship candidate Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna and his runningmate, Murtala Sule Garo; Kano APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas; and several other top party figures.
