A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Nicholas Uchenna Odieli, has joined the race for the Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives after picking the party’s nomination form ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Odieli, who was accompanied by his supporters, said his decision to contest was driven by a deep commitment to effective representation, sustainable development and the overall welfare of the people of the constituency in Anambra State.
Addressing supporters after obtaining the form, the aspirant said his ambition is rooted in a desire to deliver leadership that reflects the true needs and aspirations of the people.
He outlined key priorities of his legislative agenda to include improving critical infrastructure across communities within Oyi and Ayamelum, empowering youths and women through skills acquisition and opportunities, as well as promoting economic growth and job creation.
Odieli also pledged to champion inclusive governance, stressing that every community and constituent must feel represented and valued in the decision-making process.
“My mission to the House of Representatives is clear—to improve infrastructure, create opportunities for our youths and women, drive economic growth, and ensure that governance is inclusive and responsive to the people,” he said.
The aspirant expressed confidence that the constituency could achieve greater progress through unity and collective effort, noting that development would be driven by shared vision and dedication.
He appealed to party members, stakeholders, and supporters to remain steadfast in their commitment to progress, fairness, and responsible leadership.
“Together, a new era of purposeful representation and positive transformation is within reach for Oyi and Ayamelum,” Odieli added.
