All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders Forum, Jigawa State chapter, has fulfilled its promise to buy nomination forms for the state governor, Malam Umar Namadi, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, ahead of their 2027 re-election bids.

The forum presented the expression of interest and nomination forms to Governor Namadi yesterday evening.

While presenting the form to the governor on behalf of the forum, former Jigawa State governor, Barr Ali Sa’adu Birnin Kudu, said they had promised to buy the forms for President Tinubu and Namadi in appreciation of their purposeful and impactful leadership.

“We have not only endorsed them for a second term, but to show our appreciation and commitment, we promised to buy the forms for them to seek re-election”.

“In Hausa, there is a proverb that says, ‘Yaba Kyauta Tukwaici’. So we bought these forms for them—not because they cannot buy them themselves, but as a mark of our deepest appreciation for their sacrifice in serving the state and the nation.”

“Today we have fulfilled one part of our promise, and the second part will also be fulfilled as soon as we get an audience with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

Alhaji Ali Sa’adu also urged the state governor to facilitate and secure an appointment with the President so they could present the cheque for the purchase of the presidential nomination form to him.

In his remarks, Governor Namadi thanked the forum for its gesture, describing the donation of the forms as encouraging and as a further call to service for the state and humanity.

He promised to continue with all the programmes and policies he has been executing in the state, which have so far brought about positive transformation. He also assured them that he would work to secure an appointment with President Bola Tinubu to enable them to fulfil their promise and dream.
