2027: Sen Buba Reaffirms Bauchi Governorship Ambition

The lawmaker representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Buba Umar, has reaffirmed his commitment to contest the Bauchi State governorship election in 2027.

Buba gave this assurance yesterday during a stakeholders’ meeting he convened, which brought together supporters, well-wishers, and political associates from all 20 local government areas of the state.

Senator Buba Umar reiterated his determination to pursue the governorship race and keep his supporters fully informed about his political direction.

He congratulated APC leaders at all levels who emerged victorious in the recent congresses conducted at the ward, local government, state, zonal, and national levels.

The senator also urged party members to remain law-abiding, united, and supportive of party leadership to ensure a smooth and hitch-free process during the forthcoming gubernatorial and other primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Buba declared that there is no going back on his ambition to pursue the governorship race in Bauchi.

Also speaking, his media aide, Comrade Sabo Mohammed, noted that consultations are ongoing and will continue across all levels of the party regarding the senator’s ambition, pledging continued support.

He called on supporters to remain steadfast, disciplined, and committed to the party’s goals, stressing the need for unity and determination to secure victory and unseat the PDP in Bauchi State in 2027.
