Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos Police Command have arrested 28 suspects from various black spots in the metropolis of the state.

The police stated this in a release posted on the verified X formerly Twitter handle of the RRS, confirming the arrest of the suspects.
According to the post, “In continuation of the drive to reduce crime in the Lagos metropolis through sustained monitoring of black spots, RRS operatives at about 11:25 pm on Thursday arrested 28 suspects

“Some of the notorious areas where the suspects were arrested include Ketu, Mile 12 Underbridge, Old Toll Gate, and Motorways. The 28 suspects were those screened from 46 others earlier arrested during an overnight operation as 18 of the suspects were released after thorough screening,” the statement reads.

In another development, the RRS in collaboration with Elere, Isokoko and Pen Cinema Police Divisions as well as other security agencies at the weekend, went after miscreants harassing and terrorising people at Agege Underbridge, Pen Cinema, Raji Fashola Railway Station and other black spots and arrested 23 suspects.
