Three suspects, Emmanuel Zira, 31; Yohanna Adamu, 28; and Edan Paul, 31, all of Guvan/Kirya in Mubi North local government area of Adamawa State, have been arrested by the police after being contracted for N200,000 to kill a man in the state.

Simon Adamu of Kirya community, was alleged to have promised to offer them the said amount of money in order to kill Musa Jau, of Mukta over a piece of land.

One of the accused, Emmanuel is a step son, while Yohanna is a younger brother to Simon Adamu, who promised to pay the money to the culprits to kill Jao.

While being interrogated by the spokesman of the State Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the suspects confessed that they were contracted by Simon to steal Jao’s motorcycle and to kill him.

SP Nguroje, said that they were arrested by Mubi North Divisional Police headquarters following a complaint by Musa Jao. He stated that the commissioner of police, Afolabi Babatola Adeniyi, had assured the prosecution of the suspects upon completion of investigation.
