The scores of primary and junior secondary school students, kids, and teens participated in art contests related to paintings, portrait drawings, and other creative ventures.

Anointing Gospel emerged as the winner and took a cash prize of N50,000. Bankole Agbaraoluwa emerged as the First Runner-up, while Destiny Nmanwoke got the second Runner-up prize.

The event held in Akute, Ifo local government area, a suburb of Lagos, had students and parents in attendance as the organisers; the Arikeade Foundation, in partnership with Magenta Studios, unleashed children’s skills and potential in visual arts.

Founder and CEO of Arikeade Foundation, Mrs Adeola Ajayi Erinle, said, “We are providing opportunities for self-expression through arts and crafts and as you can see, the children abound with talents which need to be carefully nurtured and honed. We have heard about Picasso, Michael Angelo and even our own Prof Bruce Onobrakpeya, the renowned artist cum sculpturist. The Arikeade Foundation supports everyone in developing their skills and talents.”
