Thirty students have been selected to benefit from the Peter Abisoye, also known as Polan, business grants project.
Around 500 students from higher institutions across Lagos State participated in the competition to showcase their business ideas in areas such as fashion, food business, bakery, soap production, agro-business, and information technology.
The 30 students who were successfully screened were awarded a total of N1.5 million.
The event was recently held at the Aderemi Makanjuola Lecture Theatre on the main campus of LASU, with students and organisers in attendance.
Speaking at the event, Abisoye, the organiser, stated, “The programme is designed to motivate undergraduate students who are business-oriented.
“We are encouraging students to be self-reliant through mentorship and relevant information for capacity development.”
Some of the beneficiaries of the grant expressed their gratitude for the opportunity, assuring that the money would be used for its intended purpose.
They praised the organizers for the initiative, which aims to empower visionary students.
