Authorities in Sabha, Libya, have arrested five Nigerians for allegedly stealing electrical equipment from a farm, the Migrant Rescue Watch disclosed on Monday.

According to the report, the suspects were apprehended by officers from the Al-Qahira Police Department on Sunday, May 2.

According to the statement, all five individuals have been referred to public prosecution for further legal action.

“#Libya 25.05.25 – Al-Qahira Police Dept. (Sabha) arrested 5 #migrants of Nigerian nationality for theft of electrical equipment from a farm. All referred to public prosecution for legal action. #migrantcrisis #DontTakeToTheSea #seenotrettung #Frontex,” the statement read.
