61-yr-old Man Electrocuted In Lagos Flood Water

The Lagos State Police Command has stated that a yet-to-be identified 61-year-old man has lost his life after being electrocuted during the flood incident that happened on Wednesday in the Orile Iganmu area of the State.

The State Police Command’s spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the death of the man in a post on his verified X handle (formerly Twitter) late on Thursday.

He stated, “During the rain yesterday in Orile-Iganmu, a 61-year-old man, while wading through the floods, held on to a street light pole and sadly got electrocuted.”

He, therefore, urged members of the public to always stay safe.
