Academy Partners Federal Govt, NTIC To Develop Sport Talents

The management of N-Youth Sport Academy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Federal Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, under the leadership of Sunday Dare and Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC).

The partnership is to help young teenage athletes actualise their dreams in sporting activities while their academic progress and fulfilment are also well- taken care of.

N-Youth Sports Academy is formed to be a training Centre, with the aim of equip the young athlete with the most excellent proficiency of sports and goal of providing the young players all rounded education, and to instill in them understanding of the values of winning and the discipline that is essential to allow them reach their own pinnacle of excellence.

The management of the academy said, so far, it has offered admission to 20 student-athletes on 100% full – ride scholarships, and have access to quality education at Nigerian Tulip International Colleges with their feeding and accommodation well catered for.

The field of sports according to them include, football, basketball, athletics, taekwondo, swimming and tennis.

It added, “The academy provides two types of scholarship schemes. These are; The first category of scholarship is the collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Nigerian Tulip International Colleges and the academy. This provides a 100% scheme to the student-athlete (players).

“The second category is the sports scholarship. This is a kind of merit award for students who excel at their sport. The aim of this scholarship is to offset the costs of sporting activities, material and other costs that will hinder the performance and success story of the player/athlete.

“It is also 100% as it relates to sports. Under the second scheme, we have over 200 athletes/players across the field of sports.

“It is worthy to mention that, some student – athletes are offered scholarships into tertiary institutions based on prerequisites and excellent academic and sport performance within and outside Nigeria. These are: Prince Edwards University, Egypt. (42,300 USD). Ryerson University, Egypt (52,000 USD just to mention but a few.”
