Nasarawa Governor Loses Brother In Auto Crash

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has lost one of his brothers, Musa Sule, in an auto crash.

A statement that was issued on Monday, the family said the incident happened on Saturday.

The statement, which was signed by Ahmed Sule on behalf of the family, said the deceased popularly known as Labaran, passed on at age of 51.

“The family of Alhaji Sule Bawa, Sarkin Gudi regrets to announce the death of their son Musa popularly known as Labaran, in the early hours of Saturday 20th May, 2023. Labaran died at the age of 51.

“He left behind a wife and a child, parents, brothers and sisters including His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi Sule, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State.

“The three-day prayer for the repose of the soul of the deceased will be held on Monday 23/05/2023,” Sule said in the statement.

Meanwhile, prominent indigenes of the state, including former governor and Senator representing Nasarawa South, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, have commiserated with Governor Sule on the demise of his brother.

Senator Al-Makura in a condolence message on Monday expressed deep shock over the development. He described the deceased as an honest and enterprising man, who was well known for his humility and respect for all.

He symphatised with Governor Sule, his parents and siblings for their many losses within a short space of time, even as he prayed to Allah to give the family members the fortitude to bear the unfortunate incidents.

He prayed that Allah raise Musa among the righteous and grant him Aljannah Firdausi.

Also, the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Abdullahi, in a condolence message through his chief press secretary, Jibrin Gwamna described the deceased as a humble and dedicated fellow.

 

He called on the family members to see the death of Musa Labaran Suleiman, as a divine call that must be answered hence the need for prayer for the repose of his soul.

 

The speaker, while condoling with the governor, said the legislative arm of the state is behind him at this trying moment.

 

He prayed to Allah to grant the deceased Aljanatul Firdausi and give the family the enablement to bear the sad loss.
