Group To Launch Maritime Roadmap Book On President-elect, Tinubu

A support group, the Asiwaju Maritime Network (AMN), on Wednesday, said it is set for the public presentation and launch of the book titled, Asiwaju: Roadmap to Renewed Maritime Hope’.

The convener of the group, Mallam Usman Kaoje, said the event will be held at NAF conference centre in Abuja on 27th May, 2023 by 4pm.

Dignitaries expected at the launch include President-elect, Bola Tinunu, Vice President- elect, Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the government, Boss Mustapha; Speaker, House of Representative, Femi Gbajabiamila as well as other top government functionaries and maritime industry stakeholders.

Commenting on the book, Kaoje said the book organized in three parts and nine chapters offers a tremendous opportunity to influence changing trends in the Nigeria maritime industry.

He said the book was about renewing hope and potential in the Nigeria maritime industry and provides a framework for a sustainable blue economy.

“It consolidates the knowledge acquired from being educators, regulators, and researchers of the maritime industry, aiming to synthesize new ideas combined with expertise in professional maritime activities.

“Roadmap to Renewed Maritime Hope is a call to action, a rallying cry for unity, and a testament to the limitless potential that awaits us in the Nigerian maritime industry. The time is now to embrace our maritime destiny and secure a prosperous future for generations to come,” he said.

Also, a review of the book will be done at the event by Ibrahim Jibril, former Director, Maritime Labour, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA)  and International Vice President, and Chairman, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Africa.
